Preschool Program
Our Preschool Program nurtures each child's social, emotional, and academic growth in a warm, safe, and supportive environment where they feel valued and encouraged to explore. We believe children learn best when they feel confident, secure, and inspired to discover the world around them.
Through hands-on, play-based learning, children are encouraged to build friendships, express their creativity, develop independence, and strengthen their confidence every day.
Our curriculum includes early literacy and phonics, letter and number recognition, counting, science exploration, sensory play, art, music, movement, social-emotional learning, and practical life skills that help prepare children for kindergarten and beyond.
Pre-K Program
Our Pre-K Program is designed to build upon the strong foundation established in our Preschool Program while preparing children for a successful transition into kindergarten. In a nurturing and engaging environment, children are encouraged to become confident learners, critical thinkers, and compassionate leaders.
Our experienced teachers foster independence, responsibility, perseverance, and a love of learning through meaningful, hands-on experiences that challenge and inspire each child. We recognize that every child develops at their own pace and provide individualized support to help them reach their fullest potential.
Our comprehensive Pre-K curriculum focuses on kindergarten readiness through early reading and writing, phonics, mathematics, science, STEM exploration, social studies, Spanish, yoga, art, social-emotional learning, and practical life skills. Children strengthen problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and self-help skills while developing the confidence and resilience needed to thrive in kindergarten and beyond.
By combining purposeful play with intentional instruction, our Pre-K Program ensures children leave Little Redwoods excited, prepared, and ready for their next educational journey.

How do pets benefit children's development?
Pets benefit children's development by providing positive feelings about pets, which can contribute to a child's self-esteem and self-confidence. The presence of pets has been shown to reduce stress and anxiety levels in children. Petting an animal releases endorphins, promoting a sense of calm and well-being. Positive relationships with pets can aid in developing trust. A good relationship with a pet can also promote non-verbal communication, compassion, and empathy.
